...we talked about testing and Mrs. JoAnn was talking about how when we are tested it is not God testing us to see how good we are, but often to prove His work in us. She was talking about how when you build a house a lot of times you hope that it will rain so that you can test the roof or foundation or whatever, to see if it will hold up or leak and whatnot. And when the roof doesn't leak and the foundation holds, it is a reflection of the expertise ofthe Builder and also a comfort to the inhabitants of the house to know that the house can go through storms and withstand them because the One who built it did so skillfully and perfectly. Good Stuff.
