These are two of my very favorite people in the world.
Yeah, yeah, yeah "Don't walk on the grass"

Mrs. Debbie said I needed to update this thing, so this one is for her...
Having Calyn around has been very good for my reading habits :o) See, SEND has a library and she check out books. Then, I get to read them. Also to my advantage is that Calyn has read most of the books already, and thus picks the really good ones to reread. So, I know I am getting a quality book when a borrow it from her :o) Thanks, Vin.
Christmas music is playing on my laptop right now...only one month left until we start can start celebrating for real.
I started Russian lessons a week ago Friday with an awesome girl named Anya. I am really excited about studying and hope that I will learn a lot. Pray that I will be both patient and diligent (Toddie, you can skip the former and focus on the latter).
I saved Calyn's life this morning. Ok, well, maybe she wouldn't have died, but she would have been stuck in the house for the rest of eternity-- or until Amberly came with her keys-- if it weren't for my genius. Yes, you can read all about it on her blog when she decides to write about our morning episode. For now, I will just say that "I shall go down in history as the [girl] who opened a door." (for those of you who missed it, that was a reference to Michael Angelo on Ever After.)
I keep thinking today is Friday. I have no idea why. I'm glad it's not. I haven't memorized my vocabulary words for my Russian lesson yet.
Ok, well, that's all I've got for now.
Peace Out!
Mrs. Debbie--I love you and soon will be bursting through your kitchen door with a big hug for you!!!!
Hey, sorry...our internet has been down for awhile, so if I have
failed to e-mail you...don't take it personally :o) I will try and
get back to you soon. I am borrowing Veronica's computer at the
office to type this...go figure, my computer is the one to not
connect at the office too...hmmm...Calyn probably shouldn't let me
touch that hair dryer she bought yesterday...it may blow up and burn
the whole apartment complex down :o)
We finally got to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Talk about a let
down. I mean, let me talk to you about Jack Sparrow for a moment.
*edit: Captain Jack Sparrow* He is this really awesome, totally in
control (though a bit clumsy at times) guy. I mean, entrance scene
in Pirates 1, Captain Jack Sparrow is sailing a ship singlehandedly
and as it sinks to the bottom of the ocean, he steps off the mast
onto the dock. Hilarious, yet very smooth. This is the character
that is developed throughout the whole first movie. But with the
second one, it's like they just through that whole person out the
window. There is not a trace of him to be found save a name and
Johnny Depp playing the part. Terrible. And this was the case with
all the characters. Calyn and I re-watched the first one just to
restore our faith in it. We have decided to pretend the second one
never happened. It's better that way. Much like Ocean's 11. I hope
X-3 will not disappoint.
I did just read a really good book, though called Safely Home about
some Christians in China. Very good book. Very highly recommended.
Oh, and Roma downloaded Super Mario World so I can play it on my
computer. Amazing. And I even have a controller that you plug into
the USB port...if I could just figure out how to make that work...
Today is September 1st. For those of you in America, that doesn’t mean much. For us here in Kiev, it is the Day of Knowledge. Everyone started school back today. I asked Oleg Magdych what happens when September 1st falls on a Saturday or Sunday. His answer “it doesn’t.” He went on to say that if it did, they would just extend August a couple of days.
